Those questions aren’t just relevant quality-of-life indicators—they are also conversation openers to other topics that will help fill out your impressions. Talk to a half dozen people, and you’ll start to get a feel for how welcoming the area is
likely to be and how comfortable you’ll be living there. If you like what you’re hearing, it’s also a good sign that others would have the same take-away—in turn, a good sign for property values in the future.
